Steps for Students
The mission of our Steps at Strawberry Field programmes is to continuously evolve the type of support we can offer. Through research and partnerships with local universities and education providers, established via the Learning Hub, we identified a growing number of students and graduates falling into the gap between education and employment.

Students facing uncertainty, lack of direction and repeated rejection from mainstream recruitment processes. Steps to Students was developed to address these barriers, particularly for those who are neurodiverse or face other barriers entering the world of work.
At the heart of the offer is a three-month Introduction to Industry model, built on inclusive partnerships across the Liverpool City Region. This approach connects students directly with employers, providing paid work opportunities that not only ease financial pressure during university but also align with their qualifications and future ambitions.
