Strawberry Field Scores Top Marks for Accessibility

20 Apr 2026

Strawberry Field recently received a top score in an audit by Snowball, an accessibility app often described as "TripAdvisor for the disabled community." The app helps users find accessible venues and plan their visits. Following the audit, Strawberry Field achieved an Access Rating of 5 for delivering an 'Excellent Sensory Experience.'

This accolade reflects Strawberry Field's ongoing commitment to making the attraction accessible for all. The site is accessible by design, featuring ample designated parking, dropped kerbs and wide, clear pathways throughout. It is also one of the first attractions in the UK to offer a Changing Places facility, and has recently added a stoma-friendly toilet. Within the interactive exhibition, visitors can view exhibits at a comfortable height and enjoy a media-guided tour with audio descriptions and subtitles, so every visitor can experience the magic of Strawberry Field.

Beyond the accessibility of the attraction, Strawberry Field operates on a regenerative tourism model meaning every pound spent on site is reinvested directly into the community. This funding supports the Steps at Strawberry Field programmes, which empower young adults facing barriers to employment, whether through learning differences, neurodivergence, or disability, helping them into meaningful, paid work. Trainees begin with a Work Readiness course before gaining hands-on experience at Strawberry Field and with employment partners across Liverpool.
