Neurodiversity Awareness Training

It is now recognised that 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent. This means that in every workplace, community and professional network, there are individuals navigating environments that were not designed with them in mind.

By failing to support neurodiversity in the workplace, employers are overlooking a wealth of untapped talent.

Strawberry Field has been running the Steps to Work programme since 2019, supporting young adults to overcome barriers to access paid employment. We have extensive experience helping neurodiverse trainees to develop the confidence and skills to navigate workplaces and with employer partners helping them to offer inclusive workplaces.

Neurodiversity Awareness Training

The aim of our training is to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity and supporting organisations to create more inclusive workplaces.

We combine relevant theory with real-life examples from our experience of working with neurodivergent adults, helping to bring learning into a practical context.

Our focus is on shifting the narrative away from viewing challenges as individual deficits and instead, exploring the barriers neurodivergent people may face in the workplace. We look at how environments, practices and attitudes can be adapted to create accessible and inclusive working cultures.

Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies to confidently and effectively support neurodivergent employees.

The session was incredibly helpful and clear. Great to learn more about Neurodiversity. Not only were the workshop leaders excellent, but the contributors of those living with neurodiversity were especially helpful.
