Sunset Supper: An evening with Paul Askew and Julia Baird

Sunset Supper will take place on Friday 17th October at Strawberry Field, the place immortalised by John Lennon in The Beatles’ hit ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’, and promises an evening of fabulous food and excellent company.

Paul Askew – owner and pioneering chef patron of Liverpool’s acclaimed The Art School restaurant – will co-host the evening, creating a memorable two-course meal in collaboration with Strawberry Field’s in-house chef Ian Corkhill and working with young trainees from our Steps to Work programme to create the dishes.

After a delicious dinner, Paul will talk about the hospitality industry and the importance of training the next generation of top chefs. Guests will then be invited to hear from the evening’s speaker Julia Baird, sister of John Lennon and Honorary President of Strawberry Field.

Julia will be in conversation with the event’s compère, Dale Roberts, a leading guide with a decade of experience in the Beatles’ tourism industry. He also hosts the podcast The Liverpool Stories on YouTube, which explores the origins of the band and its cultural impact.
