Steps for Students secure 19 jobs with Aramark and Hill Dickinson Stadium

27 Oct 2026

Nineteen students on Strawberry Field's Steps for Students programme have achieved paid employment with Aramark and Hill Dickinson Stadium, helping them gain vital work experience to support their future careers.

Earlier this month, we welcomed a new group of students who had faced repeated rejection through traditional recruitment processes. Working in partnership with Everton F.C. and Hill Dickinson Stadium, we identified suitable vacancies and helped prepare the students to step into these roles.

As part of the programme, students took part in a dedicated hospitality day at Strawberry Field, where they developed the practical skills and confidence needed for the workplace while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Steps for Students is designed to help young people facing barriers to employment bypass lengthy application processes and connect directly with employers. While our Steps to Work programme supports young adults to develop the skills and confidence needed to become work-ready, Steps for Students helps shine a light on those who are capable and soon-to-be qualified but still overlooked by traditional recruitment processes.

By bringing students and employers together, the programme is creating meaningful pathways into employment and helping more young people take their next steps towards a brighter future.

Thank you to our Employment Partners Aramark and Hill Dickinson Stadium for helping our students overcome barriers to employment!
