Spreading Christmas Joy: Strawberry Field’s Toy Appeal Supports Abbott’s Lea School

17 Dec 2025

This week, Sharon Heller and Ant Abbot from Abbott’s Lea School visited Strawberry Field to collect the many generous gifts donated through this year’s Christmas toy appeal. Held annually, the appeal brings together Strawberry Field staff and supporters with the dedicated staff and parents of the school, all working together to support children in need at Christmas.

Abbott’s Lea School is a neighbouring community special school, supporting more than 270 students aged 3 to 19. This year, the appeal helped ensure that 58 children received Christmas presents who might otherwise have gone without.

Each gift was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the child’s age and interests, making the experience even more special. In addition, volunteer Kim kindly donated a selection of beautifully crocheted toys and teddy bears, adding a personal touch to the collection.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our staff, trainees and volunteers, as well as the staff and parents at Abbott’s Lea School, whose generosity and kindness made this year’s toy appeal such a success.
