How to make your visit to Strawberry Field green
Did you know that Strawberry Field has a 'Silver' Green Tourism award? Here are some ways you can help us go for gold!
Strawberry Field operates under a Responsible Tourism model and we continually strive to improve our sustainability. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we encourage our visitors to make their visit as green as possible.

Travel green
The greenest ways to travel to Strawberry Field are by bike, on foot or by public transport. We understand that these methods may not be possible for everyone, so we encourage visitors to car share where possible. By bike

Cycle Tours
There is plenty to see and do in Liverpool, so you may want to visit Strawberry Field as part of a tour of the city. We can recommend our friends at Liverpool Cycle Tours for an eco-friendly way to sightsee across Liverpool.
Recycles
Don't have a bike of your own? Recycles Merseyside offers affordable, high-quality second-hand bikes, refurbished by our dedicated volunteers and trainees. Find out more about Recycles Merseyside here.
On public transport
Public transport is another green and affordable way to visit Strawberry Field. Did you know that replacing car journeys with public transport can help reduce CO2 emissions by 42% if using the bus and 73% if travelling by train?
By Bus
The most direct route to Strawberry Field is on the 76 bus that stops on Menlove Ave at the bottom of Beaconsfield Road. Find out more about travelling to Strawberry Field by bus here. Please view Merseytravel for timetables and routes.
By train
The nearest railway stations to Strawberry Field are Liverpool South Parkway and West Allerton. From there it a 30-45 minute walk. If you are travelling to Strawberry Field from another city, we would recommend getting a train to Liverpool Lime Street followed by the 76 bus to Menlove Ave.
On foot
If you don't live far from Strawberry Field, we encourage you to leave the car at home and walk to us. We are a relatively long walk from Liverpool city centre, but if you like to get around on foot, this route to Strawberry Field stops at many must-see Beatles sites. You may also enjoy our self-guided Woolton Walking Tour.

Using energy and water responsibly
We make every effort to reduce our energy and water usage at Strawberry Field. Many of our lights are on motion sensors and 32% of our energy is supplied by solar panels. Our toilets use water-saving dual flushes and our taps are operated using automatic motion sensors. We have both electric hand dryers and paper towels available, but please only take what you need.
Reduce waste
Single-use items
We are trying to reduce our use of single-use items. We have composable take-away coffee cups and lids available, which have been sourced from Vegware, but please do try and use your own reusable coffee cups and refillable water bottles where possible.
Bin your litter
There are plenty of rubbish bins on site at Strawberry Field, so please always bin your litter. We work with Central Waste Liverpool and Veolia, who collect our waste and sort it offsite.
Go paperless
Tickets to our visitor exhibition and Strawberry Field events are available online. Please avoid printing tickets or email confirmations where possible.
Eat green
Eating a vegetarian or vegan diet can significantly reduce your carbon footprint. Plant-based foods generally have a lower carbon footprint than animal-based products due to reduced greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and land use. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available in the Imagine More cafe to help you 'eat green'.
Encourage the next generation
