Christmas Craft Fairs

Liverpool hosts a variety of craft fairs and makers’ markets in the lead-up to Christmas, offering unique and thoughtful gifts for everyone. Highlights include the Christmas Craft Fair at Strawberry Field on Saturday 22nd November and the Bombed Out Church Makers Market on 20th–21st December. It’s the perfect chance to get your Christmas shopping done while supporting small, independent businesses.

Carol Concerts

Christmas truly begins with the sound of the Salvation Army band! This year, Strawberry Field’s Celebrating Christmas Charity Concert returns to All Hallows Church in Allerton on Saturday 29th November, featuring live music from the Liverpool Walton Salvation Army Band, carols from the All Hallows Choir, and Bible readings from the Strawberry Field community.

There’s another festive opportunity on Wednesday 17th December with Strawberry Field’s Christmas Knitivity, a charming carol-singing event for all ages.

Liverpool Christmas Markets

Liverpool’s Christmas markets are a highlight of the festive season. The St George’s Hall Christmas Market is a must-visit, with dozens of stalls selling unique gifts, handmade crafts, and seasonal treats.

Sample winter warmers, roasted chestnuts, and local delicacies while exploring the beautifully decorated market. These family-friendly markets are perfect for visitors of all ages.

Festive theatre shows & pantomimes

Liverpool’s theatres come alive in December with pantomimes, musicals, and seasonal shows. The Liverpool Empire Theatre and Everyman Theatre offer family-friendly productions alongside classic festive performances, and Strawberry Field will be hosting 'The Songs The Beatles Gave Away: An evening with Colin Hall and Mark Pountney'.

Book tickets early, as shows often sell out quickly, and enjoy a cosy, entertaining addition to your Liverpool Christmas experience.

Christmas film screenings

Nothing says Christmas like cosying up with a classic Christmas film. Liverpool Philharmonic Hall will screen favourites such as It’s A Wonderful Life and The Muppet Christmas Carol, accompanied by live performances from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for an unforgettable festive experience.

Santa Dash

Every December, thousands of Santas dash through Liverpool in the annual 5k fun run, raising money for local charities. This year’s run takes place on Sunday 7th December. Members of the Strawberry Field team will be participating to support the Steps to Work programme, which helps young adults overcome barriers to employment. You can donate to their efforts here.

Storytelling with Father Christmas

Bring the little ones for a magical festive experience at Strawberry Field’s Storytelling with Father Christmas on 23rd December. Children can enjoy a Christmas story read by Father Christmas, with hot chocolate and a goody bag to take home. Tickets are £10 per child, and adults attend for free.
