Strawberry Field celebrates 37 trainees at its 'Shine On!' Graduation
At Strawberry Field, every graduation is the time to celebrate the journeys of the incredible trainees who have taken part in the Steps programmes. Yesterday we celebrated 37 graduates across Steps to Work, Steps for Students, Steps to Volunteer and Learning Hub.
This graduation saw 77% of graduates on our Steps to Work and Steps for Students programmes secure paid work, with others moving into meaningful volunteering or further education.
Each trainee's journey has been filled with milestones, learning experiences and moments of courage. They have stepped outside of their comfort zones, achieved things they thought impossible and went above and beyond their own expectations. It is out pleasure to wish them all the best as they take the next steps toward their futures, whether it be in paid employment, meaningful volunteering or education.
Thank you to our Honorary President Julia Baird for continuously supporting our Steps at Strawberry Field programmes and to our volunteers who generously support the Salvation Army’s mission at Strawberry Field. Thank you to all who attended our graduation, including Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mr Peter Oliver OBE, The High Sheriff of Merseyside Mr Billy Hui, The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Barbara Murray and Lady Anne Dodd.
Thank you to our employer partners and friends and supporters Freda Kelly and Jean Catherall.
We would also like to thank Jim Keelan who kindly photographed the event and our sponsors JBL, Harmon, AKG and Orange.
Finally, thank you to our fabulous Strawberry Field team. We could not do the work we do without you.
